Welcome to the Scottish Lifesciences Association

With over 130 member life sciences companies and organisations of all types and sizes, the Scottish Lifesciences Association is the voice of Scotland’s vibrant life sciences industries to investors, NHSScotland, the Scottish and UK Governments, and the wider community.  We are member driven through 16 Special Interest Groups and 4 sub-groups.  We deliver on every aspect of members’ businesses, helping each other to attract investment and increase business activity, and engaging with the NHS and Government to grow the life sciences sector in Scotland.

We collaborate with NHSScotland experts through the Health Innovation Partnership which we deliver on behalf of the Scottish Government, and we help our medtech and diagnostics members with NHS technology assessment.  We have a dozen investor members, and many of our member companies continually raise new private and public investment.  SLA members are unified by the quest for healthcare solutions, and are completely aligned to the needs of local and international healthcare providers. We manufacture medical devices, diagnostics, drugs and digital health systems, and supply pharma services to other companies, exporting products and services across the world.
